Purpose

The Mike Muranyi Junior Golf Foundation began with the purpose “to promote and foster Junior Golf in the City of Monroe and Green County by providing golf memberships, instruction, and educational scholarships to youth between the ages of 5 - 18." In 2010 it did just that, mainly with the help of generous local donors understanding the importance of supporting the growth of golf in Monroe and the surrounding Green County area. The foundation provided 25 juniors with golf memberships, lessons, equipment and memories to take for a life time. This year we have just under 130 juniors in the program!

Welcome to the MMJGF summer play programs at Monroe Golf Club. We are so excited to kick off the 2025 season with some amazing new coaching tools for juniors between the ages of 5-12. Our coaching staff is looking forward to providing incredible lesson opportunities and playing experiences. We encourage all juniors to participate in lessons and play days. MONDAY’S WEDNESDAY’S Tee Time information for all play day sessions will be posted and sent via email no later than the Saturday prior to each play day. Should you be unable to attend one of the scheduled play days or coaching sessions please inform the golf shop. Save the Date - Junior Club Championship - Wednesday July 30, 2025 - 9 AM Tee Times

Our Encouragement to Play Programs

• Unlimited golf to MGC in the current season excluding Thursdays and weekends before 11:30am. 
• Yearly range pass (1 big bag/day)
• 6 lessons and 6 play dates ran by the Club pro, HS golf coach, and assistants.
• Free entry into the July 30th Jr tournament.

Get the kids out to play! Members at the club love to see the young ones.
